I'm not kidding. When I went to kasol for the first time, my friends and I had undertaken a night journey. Naturally, we hadn't slept the whole night in awe of the amazing journey. We reached at 6 in the morning, slept for an hour and woke up feeling like we didn't have a care in the world! Honest. It's hard to close your eyes when the view is like this I would've mentioned pot as my second argument, but I have become wiser since my last trip. I realize now how important it is for everyone to imbibe some aspects from the “pot culture”. I am not going to encourage anyone to start using pot, but it has definitely been the key in my journey of self-discovery. I have learned a lot, and I kinda credit this to my acceptance of a culture different from the one I grew up in. I have learnt that reality is the biggest illusion ever created. I have learnt that people must never be judged by their lifestyle; only by their actions. I have learnt that I am but a speck in the “grand scheme of things”, but that does not mean I am limited. The power to realize that lies in me alone. I have been shaken up. I have been humbled. I have realized that my cognitive bias of my intellectual superiority must accompany superior actions. I have learnt this and much more. I have learnt this in Kasol. Coming back to the answer, natural beauty and miraculous herbs aside, Kasol is a place of zero prejudices. There are no typical delhi @%&*# here, no millionaire show-offs either. There are real people here, who come from different walks of life from around the world, to exist together temporarily in a haven. Kasol is a home for everyone. It is a school for the ignorant, a shrine for the evolved.
